The castle of Roncade is a small architectural masterpiece located in the city of Roncade, in the province of Treviso, a few kilometers from Venice.
It was built in the 16th century AD. at the behest of Agnesina Badoer, married Giustinian and her second husband Girolamo Giustinian.
Once purchased by the Ciani Bassetti family, to which it still belongs, the villa was modernized, restored and used for the production of wine and this latter feature makes it particularly unique, given that it is the only pre-Palladian Venetian villa surrounded by walls. where the Venetian agricultural tradition is still present with more than 110 hectares of vineyards and 350,000 bottles of wine produced every year.
